TMC Attendance, Membership Up Significantly

Organizers at the American Trucking Associations’ Technology and Maintenance Council were very encouraged by attendance and membership figures at its annual meeting this week in Tampa, Fla.

There were more than 2,700 people at this year’s meeting, including a record number of first-time attendees, 175. The number of TMC members reported was 2,548, up 278, or 11 percent, from last year’s numbers.

The theme for this year’s meeting is “Extending the Boundaries of Vehicle Maintenance,” with mini-technical sessions on topics such as using TMC’s Recommended Practices in the spec’ing process, OSHA compliance, the auxiliary pin circuit, truckstop electrification, tire inflation pressure technologies, and dissipating underhood heat in EPA 2007 and 2010 engines.
