Celadon Group has bought a 6.3% stake in fellow truckload carrier USA Truck, the Associated Press reported, citing a Celadon regulatory filing.
Celadon has asked to meet with USA Truck’s management about combining the two companies, but does not know whether USA Truck would be a good fit for its operations, AP reported.
Celadon is ranked No. 42 and USA Truck is ranked No. 50 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
