Third-party logistics provider England Logistics said Tuesday it has purchased McLeod Software’s Freight Management Solutions application.
“With the large volume of freight that flows through our network, our utilization of the McLeod FMS bid platform will allow us to further extend our reach for available capacity and strengthen the relationships we have with our carriers, Michelle Potter, director of strategic development at England, said in a statement.
England decided to use McLeod’s FMS in part due to the success of its implementation of McLeod’s PowerBroker software, the company said. FMS provides freight procurement, transportation management and spot market services.
England Logistics, ranked No. 47 on the Transport Topics 50 listing of U.S. and Canadian logistics companies, is the logistics arm of Salt Lake City-based truckload carrier C.R. England.
