Con-way Inc.

Con-way Inc. late Thursday named Greg Lehmkuhl president of Con-way Freight, its less-than-truckload and largest business unit.

Con-way Inc. CEO Douglas Stotlar had served as interim president of Con-way Freight since August 2010.

“Greg Lehmkuhl’s team-building experience and management skills have been instrumental in returning operating stability and profitability to Con-way Freight,� Stotlar said in a statement.

Lehmkuhl, 38, also was named an executive vice president of parent company Con-way Inc.

Previously Con-way Freight’s executive vice president of operations, Lehmkuhl joined Con-way Freight in August 2008 from Con-way Inc. sister company Menlo Worldwide Logistics, where he was vice president of Menlo’s automotive group.

“We have made great strides putting Con-way Freight back on track and I look forward to sustaining and accelerating the process gained under [Stotlar’s] leadership,� Lehmkuhl said in a statement.

Con-way Inc. is ranked No. 3 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
