The House could vote as soon as Monday night on a highway bill extension, which would avert a shutdown on transportation funding in advance of Saturday’s deadline on funding, Bloomberg reported.
According to its schedule, the House will vote on a 90-day extension after 6:30 p.m. in Washington, under rules requiring a two-thirds majority to pass, Bloomberg said.
President Obama has urged the House to pass the Senate’s two-year reauthorization bill rather than pass another short-term extension, which would be the ninth since 2009.
