Navistar International Corp. said it plans to sign a lease agreement that would give the company a third plant in Alabama.
Navistarâ€™s announcement said the facility in Barton would be leased from Retirement Systems of Alabama.
The companyâ€™s other two plants are in Huntsville, about 75 miles east of the new facility.
Navistar expects to take possession of the plant on Jan. 1.
