Volvo AB said Monday its May North American heavy truck deliveries rose 31% from a year ago.

Deliveries of its Volvo and Mack brands rose to 4,677 trucks, from 3,571 a year ago, Gothenberg, Sweden-based Volvo said in a statement.

Volvo-brand truck deliveries rose 5% to 2,201 units in North America, while Mack Trucks’ sales jumped 80% to 2,426.
